Background On February 14th, the Clty Councll lmposed a 90 day moratorlum on cooperatlve apartment proJects and requested the Plannlng Com- mlssion to prepare a proposed ordlnance covering the constructlon of cooperative apartments or converSlon of eXlsting apartments to cooperatlves, The necessary ordinance has been prepared, a PubllC Hearlng has been held by the Plannlng Commission and the ordlnance revlewed In llght of the comments obtalned In the course of the Hearlng. As a result the CommlSSlon believes addltional 1nfor- matlon relatlng to appropriate parklng requirements for varYlng cooperat1ve purposes 1S necessary and recommends that act10n on the ord1nance be deferred to permlt completlon of a park1ng analysls and that the present moratorlUffi be extended for another 90 days. 61 t.Af1.'1 9 \978 ~ ,. e .
