SUBJECT: Interim Ordinance Extending the Initial Interim Ordinance Authorizing the
Placement of Furniture, Portable Landscaping, and Cigarette Disposal
Receptacles within the Public Right-of-Way and the Display of
Merchandise in Private Vestibules
Introduction
At its meeting on January 13, 2004, the City Council introduced for first reading an
interim ordinance extending an existing interim ordinance to authorize the placement of
furniture, portable landscaping, and cigarette disposal receptacles within the public
right-of-way and the display of merchandise in private vestibules. The Ordinance is now
presented to the City Council for adoption.
Recommendation
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying ordinance be adopted.
