Introductlon
ThlS report trans~its the Planning COMffilSS10n's recommendatlon
for development standards ln the C3 CommeCla1 Dlstrlct.
Background
On March 10, 1981 the Clty CounCl1 referred the proposed C3
development ordinance to the Planning CommlSSlon for review
and recommendatlon. On March 16, 1981 the CommlSSlon held a
Pub11C Hearlng on an amendment lowerlng residentla1 uses to
the second floor, followlng WhlCh tne Con~lSS1on adopted a
motlon supportlng the 3.3 bulk Ilmltation, the lowerlng of
resldential uses from the fourth floor to the second floor,
the requlrement for a trafflc analysls for developments over
two stories and, add1tionally, the requlrement of a development
perMlt. The Plannlng Commlss1on had prevlously recommended a
development permlt for new constructlon in the C3 D1strlct.
Recommendat.l.on
It 15 respectfully recommended that the Caunell act favorably
upon the Commlsslon's actlon by dlrecting the Clty Attorney to
prepare an ordlnance In Ilne wlth the recomrnendatlons.
