Introduction
Th~s report transm~ ts Recreation and Parks corruniss~on act~on of
June 21, 1984, and thelr request to place thl.s lnformation on
July 10, 1984 city Counc~l agenda.
Background
At the~r June 21, 1984 meet~ng, the Recreatl.on and Parks Comm~s-
Slon held publ~c d~scusslon on the Beach Concession stands.
Based upon the~r d~scusslon, the following motl.ons were made:
Commiss1-oner Powell moved to reeorrunend to the Clty Counell that
they take whatever action ~s necessary In order to have their
perm1t appll.catlons to the Coastal COIDffil-SS10n conform to the re-
all.tl.es of the design for the new structures.
The motion was
seconded and carrl.ed unan~mously.
COmffil-ssioner Powell moved to ask the City Council to d~rect staff
to come up wlth a specl-fic budgetary plan on securlty north and
south of the pier from lease revenues from the concessions. It
was also requested that tb~s lnformatlon be sent back to the Com-
rniss~on as expedl tiously as possible.
The rnot~on was seconded
and carrled unanl.mously.
