SUBJECT: Beach Restroom
Introductlon
ThlS report requests the approval of schematlc draw1ngs for the construction
of a beach restroom, and authorization to prepare worklng drawings and
specif1cat1ons for the constructlon of the proJect.
Background
The Cl ty Council appropn ated $80,000 for the cons truct, on of a new beach
restroom to replace a deter10rated restroom facllity 1n Bay Street Park.
The arch1tect estlmates that the funds are sufflcient for thls proJect-
The plans subm1tted to Counc1l have been approved after publlC hear1ng by
the Recreat10n and Parks Comm1sslon and Architectural Review Board.
Appllcat10n for Coastal Commisslon approval will follow Council approval.
Recommendation
Staff recommends the Council approve the plans as submitted and allthorize the
preparation of worklng drawlngs and speciflcatlons, applications for Coastal
Commission approval and the call for blds.
