boats at the~r own expense.
rollowlna adopt~on of the emergency ordlnance, R~chard Koch,
OWner of s~x of the boats ln questlon, obtalned a temporary
restra~n~ng order agalnst the sale of the boats ln order to
preserve the status quo pending a hearlng on thlS Platter, set
for July 18, 1980.
The boats were removed from the beach on July 3, 1980 at a
cost of approxlmately $4,000 and are now belng stored at the
beach ma~ntenance yard north of the Santa l10nlca Pler.
RECOH!lE2mATION
It ~5 respectfully reconmended that the Council adopt thlS
ord~nance declar~ng elght boats washed up on the beach north of
the Pler to be abandoned property and prov~d~ng for thelr
disposal by sale or other means.
