At lts meet~ng on February l4,
1984, the Clty Councll
~ntroduced an ordlnance for flrst readlng changlng the sect10n
des~gnatlon from Sectlon 3390 to Sectlon 3620
The ordlnance 18
now presented to the Clty Councl1 for adoptlon
RECOMMENDATION
It 15 respectfully recommended that the accompanYlng
ord1nance be adopted.

SECTION 2.
Ord~nance Number 1290 (CCS) ~s repealed.
SECTION 3.
Any provlslon of the Santa Monlca Mun1c~pal
Code or appendlces tnereto ~nconslstent wlth the provlslons of
thlS ordlnance,
to the extent of such lDcons16tenCles and no
further, are hereby repealed or modlfled to that extent necessary
to a:=ect the provlslor.S of thlS ordlnance.
SECTION 4.
If any seetlon, 5ubsectlon. sentence, clause,
or phrase of thlS ordlnance is for any reason held to be luvalld
or unconstltutlonal by a declslon of any court of any competent
]ur:lsdlctlon,
such declslon shall not affect the valldlty of the
rewalnlug portlons of the ordlnance. The Clty Council hereby
declares that lt would have Dassed thlS ordlnance and each and
every
sectl.on,
subsection,
sentence,
clause or phrase not
declared lnvalld or unconstltutlonal wlthout regard to whether
any portlon of the orolnance would be subsequently declared
~nvalld or unconstltut~onal.
SECTION 5.
The Mayor shall slgn and the Clty Clerk shall
attest to the passage of th~s ord~nance. The Clty Clerk shall
cause the same to be publ~shed once 1n the officlal newspaper
w~thln 15 days after lts adopt~oD.
The ord~nance shall become
effect~ve after 30 days from lts adoptlon.
