SUBJECT: Stewart Street Park
The Recreation and Parks CommiSSlom met in regular session on February 19, 1981.
At this meeting a discusslon was held regarding possible uses of the Stewart
Street Park site for purposes other than parks which had been mentioned in the
newspaper. A specific example was the artlcle about a reprocessing center at the
corporation yards using part of the rifle ranQe. After discussion, the
Commission took the following action.
Mrs. Verge moved to request Stewart Street Park remain a park with the entire
area to be maintained strictly for park purposes.
