Clover Park DedIcatIon Expenses
Introduction
This report requests Council to appropriate funds for expenses connected with
the dedication of Clover Park whIch will be held on December 7, 1980.
Backgrou~
Ceremonial expenses are non-allowable items for State and Federal grant funds.
There will be expenses associated with the dedication ceremonies. The citizens'
group planning the event will need funds for food, mailing, publicity flyers
and other related expenses in the estimated amount of $1,500.
Staff and committee members have contacted many local youth and adult organizations
which will partIcIpate In the dedication day activities. Various activities and
exhibitions are beIng scheduled from 10:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. with the dedication
ceremonies scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Donations are also being solicited from the
merchants and businesses. The firm of Barclay, Curci Investment Company has
donated $800 toward the food costs.
Staff requests Council to approprIate $1,500 from the unappropriated reserves
of the general fund to cover the City's anticipated costs of the dedication
ceremonies. The funds would be used for:
Park Decorations
(streamers, balloons, banners, etc.)

Recommendation
Staff recommends Council appropriate $1,500 from the unappropriated reserve of
the general fund and authorize the expenditure of these funds for the Clover
Park dedicatlon ceremonies.
