SUBJECT: Request to Appropriate Roberti-Z'Berg Grant Funds to be used for
the Clover Park Extension Project
I NTRODUCTI ON
This report recommends that the Clty Counc1l appropr1ate Roberti-Z'Berg funds
in the amount of $8,781. The funds w1ll be applied to the construct1on of the
Clover Park Extension.
BACKGROUND
In 1981, the City received Robert1-Z'Berg Grant #19-576 in the amount of
$22,527 as partial funding for Clover Park Ballf1eld lighting. The project
was completed 1n 1983 leaving an unspent balance of $6,848 plus $1,933 in
accumulated interest for a total of $8,781. C1ty Staff requested, and the
State has approved, an amendment to the grant allow1ng the $8,781 to be
applied to the Clover Park Extension project. It 1S anticipated that the
entlre extension project w1ll cost approximately $600,000.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT
At present there is a cash balance 1n the Miscellaneous Grants Fund of $6,528.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the C1ty Council:
I) Appropriate funds in the amount of $8,781 in Recreatlon and Parks account
# 20-740-511-437-920.
2) Increase revenue budget by $2,253 in account # 20-932-300-000-000.
