hood Services Budget to Reflect CDBG Program Carryover
Funds from Prior Year
Introduct~on
This report concerns certa~n budgetary adjustments necessary to carry
forward the pr~or year's CDBG funds to be included in the 1982-83
Community and Neighborhood Serv~ces BUdget.
Background
Now that Fiscal Year 1981-82 is closed and final balances of the
CDBG budget line items for that year are available, it is necessary
to carry forward these remaining balances and adJust the 1982-83
COBG budget accord~ngly. Estimates were made of these balances
during the 1982-83 budget process and these estimates were included ~n
the C~ty Budget approved by Council on June 22, 1982. The Budget
needs to be adJusted to reflect the actual amounts of carryover
funds.

follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA MIENDIKG
THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1982-83
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the annual budget for
fiscal year 1982-83 on June 22, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Co~~unity Development Block Grant Program
includes multi-year projects requiring adjustments in prior
year carryover funds; and
WHEREAS, Clty Charter Section 1506 authorizes the City
Council to amend or supplement the budget by motion adopted by
affirmative votes of at least five council members;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Co~munity apd Neighborhood Services budget,
as a part of the City's 1982-83 Budget, is hereby amended as
