An Ordinance Amending Municipal Code Section
3964 to Increase False Alarm Fees
At its meeting on February 2, 1988, the city council
directed the city Attorney to prepare resolutions and ordinances
to implement various fee increases.
In response to this
direction, one of the ordinances necessary to implement this
direction is presented to the city council for its consideration.
Currently, Municipal Code section 3964 establishes the
following fees for police response to false alarms:
no charge
for the first response; $15.00 for the second response; $30.00
for the third response; and $45.00 for four or more responses.
The accompanying ordinance changes the fees as follows: no
charge for the first and second responses; $50.00 for the third
response; and $75.00 for the fourth or more responses.
