ThlS report transffilts for lntroduct1on a proposed ordlnance
ili~endlng Sectlons 7112 and 7113 to allow resurfaclng permlt fees
and work charges to be set by Resolutlon. The Cltv Counell
dlrected preparatlon of thlS ordlnance at lts September 24, 1980
meetlng, contlnued from lts Septe~ber 23, 1980 Meetlng.

BACKGROUND
Sectlons 7112 and 7113 settlng fees for resurfacing work
were revlsed In 1975. Those fees do not cover costs co the
Clty for these tteMS. Anend1ng these sectlons to allow these
fees to be set bv Resolutlon wlll enable the COUDCll to perlodl-
cally adJust the fees when necessary. The eXlsting physlcal
requ1rements for resurfacing wlll not be changed bv thlS ordl-
nance.
The proposed Resolutlon to be adopted at the second readlng
of thlS ordlnance ~ould, where the resurfaclnq work 15 done by
Clty forces, lncrease the per~lt fees to $10.00; the ~lnlmum
charges to $50.00-$100.00; and the unlts charges to between ~~
