SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Sound Recording and
Lighting Equipment Bid No. 1654.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for sound recording and l~ghting
equipment in the total amount of $6,238.32 including applicable
sales tax. Funds for th~s purchase have been budgeted in
account number 01-300-311-000-662 (Fire Department).
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver sound recording and lighting equipment in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read on September 15, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to
ten kno\vn distributors and notices were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. ~vo responsive
proposals were received as follows:

Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Photo & Sound Co.,
of $6,238.32, including tax,
