SUBJECT. Recommendation to Award Bid for One 21,OO~G~~ Dump
Truck, Bid No. 1666.
Introduction
This report concerns award of b~d for one new 21,OOO G~~ Cab
& Chassis ~n the total amount of $24,205.60 including applicable
sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in
account number 25-500-671-000-801 (Refuse Division).
Background
In response to publ~shed Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver one new 21,000 GV\v dump truck in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read on September 22, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to twenty-
five dealers and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two responsive proposals
were received as noted on the attached schedule.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Don Kott Ford, Carson,
Californ~a ~n the Lotal amount of $24,205.60, including tax, as the
lowest and best bidder, ,
