SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award B~d for 250,000 Forms
Bid No. 1663.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for 250,000 4-part illegal
parking notice forms at a unit cost of $28.95 per thousand,
plus applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in account number 01-100-223-000-411 (Data Process~ng)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver 250,000 4-part forms in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read on September
22, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to fourteen forms printers
and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
t1unicipal Code provisions. S~x proposals were received as noted
on the attached schedule.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Vanier Graphics Corp.,
North Hollywood, Californ~a in the amount of $28.95 per thousand
plus tax, as the lowest and beat bidder.
