Recommendation to Award Bid for Portable Cardiac
Telemetry System for the Fire Department. Bid # 1679
Introduction
This report concerns award of b~d for portable cardiac telemetry
system in the total amount of $6,307.00 including appl~cable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 01-300-311-000-807
Background
In response to published ~otice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver a portable cardiac telemetry system in accordance
with City specificat~ons, bids were received and publicly opened
and read on ~ovember 12, 1981. Proposal forms were ma11ed to
eleven vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with
City Charter and Munic1pal Code provisions. One proposal
was received as follows
Medical Communications & Instrumentation, Inc. $6,307.00 inc.
applicable taxes
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Medical Communications
and Instrumentation Inc., Canoga Park, California in the total amount
of $6,307 00, including tax, s the lowest and best bidder.
