Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for miscellaneous traffic signs
in the total amount of $13,891 83 including applicable sales tax.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account number
01-500-413-000-401 (Traffic Engineering)

In response to publ1.shed Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver miscellaneous aluminum traffic signs in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read December 3, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to eight
sign manufactures and notices were advertised in accordance with
City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. One proposal was
received, from Safeway Sign Co., in the total amount of $13,891 83
including applicable taxes
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Safeway Sign Co. ,
Gardena, California, in the total amount of $13,891.83, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
