Recommendation to Award Bid for Propane Service,
Bid No 1698.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for furnishing propane and
dispensing service in the total amount of approximately $11,000
annually for a maximum of three (3) years, including applicable
sales tax. Funds for this years purchase have been budgeted in
various departmental fund accounts for fiscal 1981-1982

In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver propane gas and dispensing equipment in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read on December 3, 1981 Proposal forms were mailed to eight
dealers and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code Provisions. Two Proposals were
received as follows.

Reconnnendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Petrolane Propane
Conversion Center, Santa Fe Springs, California, for the lease of
the dispensing equipment and the purchase of the propane fuel in
the total approximately maximum over a 3 year period amount of
$33,000 00, including tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
