SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for A Dust Collection System.
Bid 4ft 1700.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for a dust collection system at
the City Yards, Public Facilities Maintenance Area,in the total
amount of $8,358.58 including applicable sales tax. Funds for this
purchase have been budgeted in account number 01-500-451-000-901
(Public Fac~l~ties Maintenance)
Background
In response to published Notlce Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver a dust collection system at the carpenter shop, City
Yards, in accordance with City specifications, bids were received
and publicly opened and read on December 15, 1981 Proposal forms
were mailed to twelve vendors and notices were advertised in
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Three
proposals were received, two of which were responsive to City
specifications. The third bidder was non-responsive in that the
system offered did not meet the required specifications and did not
include the required bidders bond The two responsive bids were
as follows

Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to PTS Industries, Anaheim,
California ,in the total amount of $8,358.58, including tax, as
