Recommendation to Award Bid for Portable Welding Servlces.
Bid No. 1714.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid ror portable welding services
at the hourly rate bid for the period March I, 1982 through
February 28, 1983. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in
various maintenance accounts
Background
In response to publlshed Notice Inviting Bids to furnish portable
welding services in accordance with City specifications, bids were
received and publicly opened and read on January 28, 1982. Proposal
forms were mailed to five knotVil local sources and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Munlcipal Code
provisions. Two proposals were received as follows:
S & S Welding $38.00jHour
A & A Portable Welding $38 SO/Hour
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to S & S Welding, Santa
Monica, Californla at the rate of $38.00 per hour as the lowest
and best bidder.
