Parts & Supplies Bid # 1709 (Mechanical Maintenance)
Introduct10n
Th1s report concerns award of bid for m~scel1aneous truck parts
and supplies at the d~scounts from list price indicated in the
bid form. For the period April 1, 1982 through March 31, 1983
Funds are ava1lable in account number 01-500-461-000-292.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver miscellaneous truck parts and supplies in accordance
with City specifications, bids were rece1ved and publicly opened
and read on February 9, 1982. Proposal forms were mailed to
twenty-two parts vendors and notices were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Mun1cipal Code provisions. Only one fully
responsive proposal was received, that of M & M Truck Parts, Inc.
per the attached schedule
Reconrrnendation
It is recormnended that the award be made to 1-1 & H Truck Parts, Inc.
Huntington Park, California at the amounts bid for the period April 1,
1982 to March 31, 1983.
