Introduction
Thls report concerns award of bid for fleet maintenance service
at the unit prices quoted for the period May 1, 1982 through
April 30, 1983. Funds are available In account No. 01-500-461-000-
501 (Mechanical Malntenance)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to provide fleet
malntenance serVlces in accordance wlth City specificatlons, bids
were received and publicly opened and read on March 16, 1982.
Proposal forms were mailed to fifteen providers of this type of
serVlCeS and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provlsions. One proposal was received
as follows
Mainstem Corporation
$350 00 base charge
$2,750 00 initial set-up charge
Plus unit costs as quoted
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Mainstem Corporation,
Princeton, New Jersey, at the base charges and unit costs quoted
as the lowest and best bidder.
