SUBJECT. Recommendation to Award Bid for Bus Transmission
Overhaul. Bid No 1739.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for the overhaul of bus
transmlssions at the unlt prices quoted for the period
June I, 1982 through May 31, 1983. Funds for this purchase
have been budgeted in account number 41-600-657-000-304 (Transpor-
tatlon)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids (4-27-82) to furnish labor
and materials, to overhaul bus transffilssions in accordance with
City speclflcations, bids were received and publicly opened and
read on May 11, 1982. Proposal forms were mailed to eleven
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. n~o valid proposals
were received as follows
