Recommendation to Award Bid for Inframe Overhaul Of Diesel
Engines Bid No. 1745
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for inframe overhaul of Diesel
Engines at the unit prices quoted for the period July 1, 1982 through
June 30, 1983. Pending approval of the Fiscal 1982-83 budget, funds for
this purchase wlll be available in account number 41-600-657-000-304

In response to publlshed Notice Inviting Blds (published 4-27-82)
to furnish and deliver diesel engine in-frame overhaul in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read May 18, 1982. Proposal forms were mailed to eleven vendors and
notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal
Code provisions One proposal was received per the attached unit
price schedule.
Recommendation
It lS recommended that the award be made to Harbor Diesel and
Equipment, Inc ,at the unit prices bid for the period July 1, 1982
through June 30, 1983 as the lowest and best bidder.
