Recommendation to Award Bid for Brake Blocks for Transit
Coaches Bid No. 1737
Introduction
This report concerns award of bld for transit coach brake blocks
at the unlt prices quoted for the period of July 1, 1982 through June
30, 1983 Pending-approval of the Fiscal 1982-33 budget~ funds for this
purchase will be aval1ab1e in account number 41-600-657-000-304
(Transportation).
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Blds (published 4-27-82)
to furnish and deliver transit coach brake blocks in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publlc1y opened and
read May 13, 1982 Proposal forms were mailed to six vendors and
notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and Munlcipal
Code provislons Three proposals were received as shown below:

Reconnnendation

prlces bid for the period July 1, 1982 through June 30, 1983 as the
lowest and best bidders
