Recommendation To Award Bid For Water And Gas Repiping
Bid No. 1764.
Introduction
Th~s report concerns award of bid for water and gas repiping at
419 Ocean Ave. Santa Monica, in the total amount of $18,930.00
including applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in account number 01-200-264-000-90ll(PFr~~~

Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids (published 6-1-82)
to furnish and deliver water and gas repiping at 419 Ocean Ave
Santa Monica in accordance wlth City specifications, bids were
received and publicly opened and read June 15, 1982 Proposal
forms were mailed to fourteen vendors and notices were advert1sed
~n accordance w~th City Charter and Municipal Code provisions
Two proposals were received as follows
Accent Plumblng and Solar Heating
$18,930.00
T Parrott and Sons
$29,240 00
Recohnnendation
It 1S recommended that the award be made to Accent Plumbing and
Solar Heating Co., 1n the total amount of $18,930.00, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
