SUBJECT. Recommendation To Award Bid For Petroleum Products
Bid No 1728.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for petroleum products for the
period from date of award through September 30, 1983, under the
terms quoted.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver motor fuels and lubricants l.n accordance with City
speclfications, bids were received and publicly opened and read
on June 24, 1982 Proposal forms were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions Nine proposals
were received per the attached schedule Except as noted on
the schedule the prices sho.vn include applicable taxes (7~ per gallon
in most cases). Prices quoted in each proposal are subject to
change ln accordance with posted changes in putlished prlces
during tne period covered
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Texaco, Inc , items #
1,6,7.8 and 9, Unlon Oll Co , ltems #2,3,10, and 11. Gale Barstow
011 Co., ltems 4 and 5, Gasca item # 12 under the terms quoted
for the perlod from the date of award through September 30, 1983,
as the lowest and best bidders.
