Introductlon
ThlS report concerns award of b1d for a Cab and ChaSS1S with 34
ft. personnel lift for the General SerVlces Department ln the
total amount of $50,908.07, includ1ng appl1cable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Invlt1ng Bids (publ1shed Septem-
ber 30 and October 1, 1985) to furnish and dellver one cab and
chaSS1S wlth 34 ft. personnel lift in accordance wlth City
specificat~ons, b1ds were received and publ~c1y opened and read
on November 7, 1985. Proposal forms were malled to six vendors
and notlces were advertised in accordance with C1ty Charter and
Munlclpal Code provlslons. Two proposals were received as
follows:

$52,016.73
The low b1d from Truck Hydraul1c Equlpment Co., Inc. meets the
speclflcatlons. Staff has stud1ed the bids and has verlf1ed

that the low b1dder has the caplbll1ty of 1nstalling the 34 ft.
personnel lift as per the specifications.

V1ces Department, account number 01-500-453-000-806.
Recommendatlon
It is recommended that the award of B1d *2022 be made to Truck
Hydraul1c Equipment Co. Inc., Industry, Cal1forn~a 1n the total
amount of $50,908.07 including tax, as the lowest and best
b1dder.
