Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for emergency plumbing
supply needs at the unit prices quoted for the period August
1, 1982 through July 31, 1983. Funds for these purchases are
in account number 01-500-451-000-401 (P.F t1 )
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids (published June 1st)
to furnish and deliver emergency plumbing supplies In accordance
wlth City specificatlons, bids were received and publicly opened
and read on June 22, 1982. Proposal forms were mailed to six
vendors and notices were advertised ln accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions One proposal was received
from Bay Area Pipe and Supply. Since there are 8 pages of ltems
included on this bid and only one bidder, schedule is not attached.
The bid data is available In the Purchase office Prices offered
are consistant with the local market
Recommendat1on
It is recommended that the award be made to Bay Area Pipe and
Supply, Santa Honica, Callfornia, at the unlt prices quoted
for the period from August 1, 1982 through July 31, 1983 as
the lowest and best bidder
