Introductlon
This report concerns award of bld for one 20,000 GVW dump truck
for the Pier Malntenance D1V1Slon of the General Services Depart-
ment ln the total amount of ~31,349.34,including applicable sales
tax.
Background
In response to published Notlces Invitlng Bids (published 11-1-85
and 11-2-85) to furnlsh and del1ver one 20,000 GVW dump truck in
accordance with Clty spec1f1catlons, blds were rece1ved and
publ1Cly opened and read on November 14, 1985.
Proposal forms
were mal led to six vendors and notlces were advertlsed in accor-
dance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions.

There 15 sufflC1ent F1scal Year 1985-86 appropr1atlon authorlty
for thlS purchase ln the Capltal outlay budget category of the
Pler Malntenance Dlvislon of the General Servlces Department. An
admln1strat1ve adjustment will be made to transfer sufficient
approprlatlon authority to account number 30-500-625-000-806 for
this purchase.
Recommendatlon
It is recommended that the award of Bld #2023 be made to Footh11l
Internatlonal, Glendale, Callfornla in the total amount of
$31,349.34 lncluding tax, as the lowest and best b1dder.
