SUBJECT. Recommendation To Award Bid For One Street Sweeper
Bid No. 1774.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for one mobile power driven
street sweeper in the total amount of $73,613.87 including
applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase are available in
account number 27-500-442-000-801 (Street Maintenance).
~ackground
In response to published Notice Invit~ng Bids (published 8-1-82)
to furnish and deliver a mobile street sweeper in accordance
with City specifications, bids were rece~ved and publicly opened
and read on August 19, 1982. Proposal forms were mailed to
eleven vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with
City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two proposals were
received as follows:
