damaged trans1t coaches for the Transportatlon Department as per

February 10 and 11, 1986) to plckup/dellver and prOVIde labor to
repalr and repa1n t damaged tr anSl t coaches 1n accord ance Wl th
Cl ty spec 1 flcatlons, bld s were recel ved and publ icly opened and
read on February 25, 1986
Proposal forms were maIled to
three vendors and notlces were advertlsed 1n accordance with City
Charter and MunIclpal Code provlslons. Two proposals were
rece1ved as follows:

Santa Monica Bus LInes wIll supply all the replacement parts ex-
cept the paInt. The vendor wIll pIckup and delIver all the
coaches. The TransportatIon staff wIll monl tor and audIt all
repaIr costs subm1tted by the vendor. Staff is satisfIed that
the lowest bIdder has the equipment and the abIlIty to do qualIty
work.

RecommendatIon
