Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Streetsweeper broom segmented
core exchanges at the unlt pr~ces bid for the period November 1,
1982 through october 31, 1983. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted 1n account number 01-500-461-000-292 ~reet Dept-.l.(
Background
In response to published Notlce Inv1ting B~ds (publlshed 9-1-82)
to furnish and del~ver street sweeper broom segments and core
exchange ~n acordance w1th Clty specif1cations, b~ds were recelved
and publicly opened and read on September 23, 1982. Proposal forms
were malled to s1xteen vendors and notlces were advertlsed in the
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provis1ons. Two
proposals were received as follows:

San Diego Rotary Broom Co.

$52.00 each
Monarch Broom
$180.00 each

Recommenda t i on
It 1$ recommended that the award be made to San Dlego Rotary Broom
Co., Escondido, Callfornla at the un1t prices offered from November
I, 1982 through October 31, 1983 as the lowest and best bidder.
