Introductlon
ThlS report concerns award of bld for two Farm Tractors ln the
total amount of $66,000.00, lnc1udlng app11cab1e sales tax.
Background
In response to published Not~ces Invltlng Bids (published Septem-
ber 10 and II, 1985) to furn~sh and dellver Farm Tractors In ac-
cordance w~th City speclficatlons, bids were recelved and publlc-
ly opened and read on October 1. 1985. Proposal forms were
mailed to SlX vendors and notlces were advertlsed In accordance
with Clty Charter and MunlClpal Code provlsions. Three proposals
were received as follows:

traffIC 51gnal 1mprovements that are to be awarded by separate
staff report and CouncIl actIon.
Therefore,

Appropr la tion author 1 ty for constructIon of the Beach Improve-
ments was granted as part of the FY 1984-85 capital 1mprovements
budget.
Funds for constructIon of the Beach Improvements have
been budgeted In the Beach Intprovements account number 18-720-
263-01313-906 ($3,510, Hl" 4) and Off -S I te Improvements account number
01-720-263-1300-9113 ($1,990,000) for a total current approprIat1on
avaIlable of $5,500,100.
However $1.0 m1llIon of the appropr1-
ated amount for Off-S1te Improvements had been set aS1de for as-
5 i St1 og 1 n the development of the 55 un 1 ts of affordable hous 1 og
tha tIS required by the Coastal COntIDl S5 Ion.
It 1S recommended
that these funds be used at thIS tImE for constructIon of the
Beach Improvements.
Together the funds from the Beach and Off-
SIte Improvements accounts, plus $176,113 of lnterest earned from
