Background
Ir response to publlshed Notlces Invitlng Blds (publlshed May 27,
28, 1986) to furnlsh and dellver brake repalr parts and labor In
accordance wlth Clty speclflcatlons, blds were recelved and
publlCly opened and read or June 10~ 1986. Proposal forms were
malled to 23 vendors and notlces were advertlsed In accordarce
with Clty Charter and Murlclpal Code provlslons.

Personnel.
Therefore 1t 1S necessary for the successful b1dder
to be 1~ close prox1ffi1ty to the C1ty. Several Sarta Mor1ca f1rms
were mal led bld speclf1Cat1ors but d1d rot respond.
They were
cortacted by pho~e as to why they d1d rot respond. The responses
were varled such as "not 1nterested, do rot carry suff1clent
suppl1es to serV1Ce, bld got lost etc.". Staff recommerds that
the bld from Delmer's Prec1s1or Brake Shop located 11'1 Sarta Monl-
ca be accepted. The labor rate ard the parts dlscounts are the
same as charged 1n Flscal year 1985/86.
