mal led to flve verdors and notices were advertlsed lr accordarce
wlth Clty charter ard Munlcipal Code provlSlons.

The C1ty of Santa Mon1ca currently uses traff1c slgnal con-
trollers manufactured and d1str1buted by Econol1te Control Prod-
ucts. A resolut1on (CCS #5503) was establ1shed on 2/26/80 wa1V-
ing formal b1dd1ng, however, federal funds are being appropriated
for th1S prOJect. The state 1S requ1r1ng the C1ty of Santa Mon1-
ca to formal b1d these controllers 1P order to recelve the fund-
irg reeded to purchase them.
Two of the "r>o bldders" stated that they are ur>able to supply
Ecopollte trafflc slgnal controllers. The two mlnority buslness
recrultment flrms d1d pot have any sources for th1S type of
product.
