Introductlor
ThlS report concerrs award of bld to furnlsh and dellVer brake
parts as requested by the Transportatlon Department for the perl-
od August 1, 1986 through July 31,1987, In the total amour'lt of
$167,027.00, plus appllcable sales tax.
Background
In response to publlshed Notlces Irvltlrg Blds (publlshed May 28,
29, 1986) to furrlsh and dellver brake parts In accordance wlth
Clty speciflcatiors, bids were received ard publlCly opered ard
read on Ju"e 12, 1986.
Proposal forms were mailed to eleven
vendors ard notlces were advertlsed 10 accordance wlth Clty
Charter afld Munlcipal Code provlsloPS.
Elght proposals were
recelved as per the attached bid sheet.
Staff has evaluated all the blds based or total prices per cat-
egory and flnds Graham Brake & Dlesel low bldder on ltems 5-18
ard Associated Brake Supply as low bldder on ltems 1-4. There-
fore, staff recommerds blds be awarded to both vendors per total
prlces speclfled.
