Reconstructing and Landscaping Parking Lots 2, 2A, 9, 9A and lOA.
Introduction
This report recommends that the City Council award a contract for the subject
project to Sully-Miller Contracting Co. for their low bid of $118,087.50.
Background
Bids on this project were opened in Room 201-B of the City Ha11 at 3:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 21, 1979, and read publicly by the Deputy City Clerk. Plans
and Specifications were issued to three contractors. Two bids were received
as follows:
Sully-Miller Contracting Co. ........... $ 118,087.50
California Engineering ................. $ 120,660.00
City Engineer's Estimate ............... $ 92,385.00
On August 22, 1978, the Parking Authority approved the eXpenGlture of funds
in the amount of $90,000 from surplus Parking Authority funds. In addition,
$30,000 is to be paid for by the two new restaurants benefitting from the
parking provlded. Attached is the staff report of July 21,1978, recommending
this project.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the contract be awarded to Sully-Miller Contracting Co.
for their low bid in the amount of $118,087.50.
