ThlS report concerns the award of bld for Automot1ve Equlpment conslstlng of one
(1) 40,000 GVW 6 ~~eel Dump Truck ln the total amount of $69,331.51 lncludlng
appllcable tax. ThlS purchase wlll be charged to the Beach Ma1ntenance account
#11-400-521-000-950 for f1scal year 1979-80.
Background
In response to publ1shed Notlce Invlt1ng Blds to furnlsh and dellver automot1ve
equipment In accordance with Clty speclflCatlons, b1ds were rece1ved and opened and
read Apnl 17, 1980. This bld has been awarded to the Carmeni ta Ford Company, as
per Clty Councll f>leet1ng June 6, 1980. Funds are ava1lable from the Beach ~'Ialnten-
ance budget for f1scal year 1979-80 In the amount of $55,000.00. Estlmated funding
for th1S equlpment was estab1lshed in flscal year 1978-79, but the ltem was awarded
In the latter half of f1scal year 1979-80. The h1gh lnflatlon rate for th1S f1scal
year could not be ant1c1pated and the Beach f>'Ia1ntenance budget amount proved lnade-
quate. It lS requested the C1ty Cauncll appropnate the addltlonal funds of
$14,331.51 from the MAR Fund to complete the purchase of the 6 Wheel Dump Truck.

It 1S recormnended the C1ty Councll appropnate the add1tional funds from the MAR Fund
to complete the purchase of the 6 Wheel Dump Truck.
