SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Breathing Apuaratus
Bid No. 1558
lntroduction
This report concerns award of bid for Breathing Apparatus
in the total aIDoUDt of $8,389 73 including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 01-300-311-000-401 for Fire Department Equipment
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Breathing Apparatus in accordance with City specifications,
Bids were received and publicly opened and read October 28, 1980.
Proposal forms were mailed to seven (7) potential suppliers
and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
Municipal Code provisions Two (2) proposals and five declinations
were received as sho,Yll on bid recap sheet
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Bennett Bowen Co.
in the total amount of $8,389.73, inc1udinr, tax, as the lowest and
best bidder.
