SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for 10,000 Gm~ Truck W!
Stencil Painting Body Bid No 1552
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for one 10,000 Gm~!Truc~ with Stencil
Painting Body in the total amount of $27,179.46 including applicable
sales tax Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in
account number 01-500-413-000-950, Parking and Traffic Engineering.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver 10,000 GVW Truck W!Stencil Painting Body in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read October 28, 1980 Proposal forms were mailed to 10 potential
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions ~~o (2) proposals and three
declinations were received
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Bauer Coatings and
Chemical Division of \fhittaker Corp. in the total amount of $27,179.46,
including tax, as the lowest and best bidder
