Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Tire Re-Capuing, Repairs,
Mounting and Dismounting in the total amount of S40,000.0a in-
cluding apulicahle sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in various account numbers.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Tire Recapping and Services in accordance with City
specificaitons, bids were received and publicly opened and
read December 3D, 1980. Proposal forms were mailed to Four
Vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Xunicipal Code provisions Two proposals were
received
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Johnny Gillette Tire Co.
in the total amount of $40,000 00, including tax, as the lowest
and best bidder
