Introduction
~his report concerns award of bid to remove a Detroit Diesel Engine
from a City owned Ford Tractor. Provide and re-install same model
?actory rebuilt engine with vibration damper and clutch. (Engine
Exchange) in the amount of $ 6500.00 including applicable sales tax.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account No.9502~.nn~ .
13ackground
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
a rebuilt Detroit Diesel Engine in accordance with City Specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read December 30, 1980.
Proposal forms were mailed to Sioc Vendors and notices were advertised
in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Five
proposals were received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Korody-Colyer Corporation
in the total amount of $ 6500.00 including tax as the
lowest and best biddEr.
