SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Tire Renair Service
for the Department of Mechanical Maintenance, effective
Anril 1, 1981 through March 31, 1982. Bid # 1584
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Tire Renair Service in the
estimated amount of $25,000.00 including apnlicable sales tax.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in various departmental
accounts.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Tire Repair Service (ouncture repairs, mounting etc )
in accordance with City specifieations, bids were received and
publicly opened and read. Proposal forms were mailed to fourteen
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter
and Municipal Code provisions. Two proposals were received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Daniel's Tire Service
in the estimated amount of $25,000.00, including tax, as the
lowest and best bidder,
