SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Brake Repair Services
and Supplies for the l'Iechanica1 lfaintenance Department

Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for brake renair services and
supplies in the estimated amount of $12,000.00 including
applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted
in various account numbers in the current and future adopted
budgets.
Background
In response to published Notice Invlting Bids to furnish and
deliver brake repair service and supplies in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read June ll, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to fourteen
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. One proposal was
received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Delmers Precision
Brake shop in the estinated amount of $12,000.00, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
