Storage Batteries. Bid No. 1620
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for storage batteries in the
estimated amount of $58,000.00 including app1~cab1e sales tax.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account numbers:
01-955-002-000-000(Warehouse $19,000.00) 35-955-l00-000-000(Trans-
portat~on $39,000.00)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver storage batteries in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read June 16, 1981.
Proposal forms were mailed to thirty-nine vendors and notices
were advertised in accordance with City Charter and l'1unicipal
Code provisions. Three proposals were received.
