SUBJECT: Recomflendation to nward Eid for Service and Repair of
Recording and Telemetering Equipment for the Enterpr~se
Water Department. Bid No. 1623.
Introduction
Th~s report concerns award of bid for service and repair of
recording and telemetering (autonatic aequisition and transmission
of data from xemote sources) equipment in the estimated amount of
~lO.OOO includiqg ~plicable sales tax. Funds for thts purchase
have been budgeted in account number 25-500-671-000-501.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to service and
repair recording and telemetering equipnent in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read June 16, 1981. Proposal forms were ma~led to eleven
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and l1unicipal Code provisions. One proposal was received.
Recomnendation
It is recoMmended that the award be made to Southwest Services,
Inc. in the est~mated amount of $10,000.00, including tax, as
the lowest and best bidder.
