SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid on Plumbing Retro-Fit the
Ocean Park Library Bid No. 1606.
Introduction
This report concerns award of b1d for labor and material to re-
p1pe the Ocean Park Library in the total amount of $11,900.00
includ1ng applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in account number 07030-000.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver 1 abor and material to r =pipe the Ocean Park Library in
accordance with City specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read 4/l4j8l. Proposal forms were mailed
to thirteen vendors and notices were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two proposals
were received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to E.A. Potts and Son,
Inc. in the total amount of $11,900.00, including tax as the
lowest and best bidder.
