SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Tennis Instruction
Concession at Lincoln Park Bid No. 1628
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for operation of tennis instruc-
tlon conceSSlon at Lincoln Park in the total mini~u[l aoount of
~727.00 per month or 6/0 of gross income "hichever is greater.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids for a concession
for Tennis Instruction at Lincoln Park issued in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read July 7, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to nineteen
tennis 1nstructors and notices were advertised in accordance with
City Charter and 11unicipal Code provisions. Proposals were
received fro~ three respondents as follows:
Leon Singleton/Michael Anderson - $727.00/Mo or 6% of gross sales
\.Jilliam Regas - :;;250. OO/tIo or 1010 of gross sales
Manny Perez - No Bid
The estimated gross volume for this concession is not expected
to be sufficiently high to make Mr. Regas'bid the high bid.
Recommendation
It is recoQffiended that the award be made to Leon Singleton/~ichae1
Anderson in the amount of $727.00/Month, minimum or 6% of gross
sales if such amount exceeds $727.00 in any month as the highest
and best bidder. tJ
